type='text'>Baby @ Home

We come across many changes in our life. From bachelorhood to getting married, school to college, college to job etc. None of these changes can resonate at the frequency of the current change which I and Swati are going through. Change of having a baby ( Adya) in our home. She is just an infant and she made us realize that life is not always bed of roses. While making us realize this she smiles and grins.

Anyways, we were blessed with Adya on 25th September 2009. She was pretty healthy and cute when I first saw her. That time I didnt realize about the kind of changes we will have to accept. Swati bore all the brunt of delivering her. That day I realized the power of woman. Anyways, after a week's time, we welcomed Adya to our home from hospital. Story starts now...

Initial 2 months were passed like a whisker when she was a real infant. Not able to gaze at you, feel you etc etc. but after that entire schedule has to be re-designed for our survival. We should be done with the breakfast ( ofcourse at the mercy of Adya) within an hour of 6-7 AM coz its her play time. She feels good in her play area. After that she starts crying ( yes she now cries) cries for attention. By this she wants to convey a message: Dont take me for granted. If I am playing you guys are enjoying more. She then gets her mother attention and I leave for office. She then tests her mommy's endurance in all ways. Mommy would try to make her sleep by keeping baby

in her lap and when she starts feeling drowsy, mommy would think of shifting her to crib. Dare you. Adya makes a noise ;;"aaa aaa"..dont do that. I love your lap. This is repeated several times. After few attempts, if she sleeps Swati pats her back that she made Adya sleep. My take' Swati its not your achievement. Its not you who made her sleep, its when Adya wished to sleep then she slept. ( Mercy God : Adya)

At 12 when I am back from office for lunch, I see that Adya is sleeping. Swati rushes to kitchen to give me lunch. I say Darling ! Lets have our lunch together. She smiles and replies :forget about having together, even if you can have your lunch fully it would be a great achievement. Yes. She is right. Right between my lunch Adya coos and cries mildly in her crib..Swati rushes to pacify her but of no vain by that time, Adya is all awake as if she is saying " Hi Mommy,How you guys can take lunch when I am here?".

Anyways, afternoon is the time when both mommy and Adya enjoy(Provided Adya doesnt plan a afternoon poop) I leave for office at 1 Pm and then these 2 people would play, dance and then sleep. At around 6 Pm, when i come back from office, I try to play with Adya and Swati rushes to kitchen for some snacks. Fortunately, Adya allows us to have that together. Thanks Adya. After that, she goes to sleep. Sleeps till 8 and then she is all awake. Now I make her watch the News and she enjoys my belly while SWati prepares her dinner. BY 9, its sleep time of Adya. Now mommy would try to make her sleep so as to have a peaceful dinner. And I get busy with my laptop and emails. By 9:25, SWati comes to me -super excited, pumping fists and all but all "MUTED". I enquire what happened -ofcourse by ths time I am also mute. She confirms that ADya is sleeping. I congratulate her. By that very moment, She would hear Adya cooing and making sme noise on her bed. I take back my congratulations. Momy runs again and comes back with success tag and again runs back. After 3-4 such cycles, we enjoy our dinner by 10:30 Pm ( Planned at 9:30 Pm, just 1 hour late, no issue , its commendable). After our dinner we have rush to wash basin like a thief as we are not supposed to make any noise. If bathroom door is closed avoid un-bolting the door wait for few minutes and control else head towards other bathroom. This is just to avoid any noise to disturb our baby God.

Night is all Adya and mommy affair. They both enjoy each other company. For few minutes I get my wife back and next moment Adya pulls her. Anyways, I pacify myself now, its better to

have peaceful sleep rather than expecting anything more than that. I have become quite satisfying now ;)

Anyways, after marital bliss its time to enjoy parental bliss. We all have dreams. We strive hard for their fructification . It was like a dream come true for me and my wife when we were handed over keys of our new "Swift Vxi " on 23rd Feb 2009. I was thrilled by the joy and happiness that almighty bestowed me with power to own something worth many Lacs. There was a time (college days) when i used to shy away from my friends as i was never able to match with standards of friends-gizmos, branded outfits, bikes etc. Well, past is past and future is something which we create for ourselves.

People always say we shouldnt be greedy and materialisitc.I have a counterpoint. We should be greedy ,that keeps us moving. We should never be complacent. We should have goals and clear cut milestones to achieve. If we plan and execute, we will always be happy. As they say- " Its not important what quality decision you take, what matters is with what quality you execute your decision".

Today i am very happy and feeling good and have positive outlook for days to come. I would love to Thank God and my parents & elders- from the deepest part of my heart for making me capable of what i am today.

End of Season Sale

Indians are lucky as they get to enjoy all types of weather and season. Everyseason brings with its a whiff of celebrations & fun. People go on shopping binge as everybody wants to get new stock for the new season. Many outlets manage to meet their target but few who fail to make a kill resort to normal practice of turning towards displaying boards of "End of Season Sale".

Word "SALE" has a strategic importance in Indian families. It emanates a positive vibrations which can suck money from anybody's wallet. "Sale" is such a tool which allows all shopkeepers to sell all their remaining stuff at no profit and no loss deal. Although for many it seems as if all of a sudden these businessmen have turned into GOD. They are giving 80% discount as if they are fools. In reality, they are not fools but the people who are greedy are fool. How a person can give you 80% discount? Price has to go down if you go back the supply chain-- dealers, wholesalers, factory outlets, direct factory? But this way it seems as if factory is realising its goods free of cost.

Many businesses have realized that Indian market is price sensitive. If you ask a person of average income to purchase of "Branded Blazer" worth INR 3000, he would shirk from this deal but on the contrary if the outlet labels it as INR 6000 and offer a discount of 50%, it will definitely auto-cajole that person to purchase it. Reason- his need & the brand he would get @ cheaper price. He feels an opportunity not to be missed to wear a branded cloth. "Koutons" - is such a brand. This brand or its company- Charlie operates on concept of 'Sale" only. Recently i have heard that this company posted a decent Q3 results despite slowdown. This company offers "sale" throughout the year. How can a company offer you a sale or discount throughout the year ?

Scene that you would see in the markets in "End of Season Sale"-- A family in a winter garments store cleaning off the sweat and purchasing coats, jackets, pullovers - may be for next winter season. A family in a cottons garments store wearing woolen purchasing- cotton t-shirts as they are available @ cheaper price. People buying raincoats, overcoats in October.

Logic behind offering sale by these merchants is that they don't want to stock the items as they don't have space and there is no guarantee that they can sell it in the next season. So people who come for sale help in clearing the stock of these merchants.

These days "End of Season Sale" in the real sense is happening in the corporate India. Cos running out of cash are selling their stakes, assets etc to stave off any downturn in their business.

Anyways, there is nothing wrong in offering and attending sale, as it offers a good outing in the weekends. You get a unique opportunity to see greed in the eyes of the people. (Everybody possess greed here. Few show it , few accept it by writing letters to authorities.) Opportunity to see people fighting over a coat as if who saw it first and who claimed it first as it was a last piece available at 75% discount. We all are Indians and together we possess all possible colors of any society. We are stronger Indians. We recently celebrated our 60th Republic Day (26/01) and condemned 26/11 attacks. We have cleared our old stock of weakness, debility, frailty and simplicity. We are strong and intelligent enough to fight virtually anybody.

Turbulent Times and My Sentiments

Today we are living in such a time where anything & everything is possible. We saw a upsurge in the mood of Indians over high speed growth of Indian economy, we saw a great reversal of mood also when Indian economy too, got caught in the Global Economic Tsunami despite numerous confidence statements by Finance minister that Indian economy is, to the extent, decoupled from world economy. I think Finmin upped the ante by saying this, as results of Corporate India, Industrial growth, Inflation etc proved Minister false and his claims baseless. Spate of steps were taken by RBI to tackle Inflation, while doing so they sacrificed Growth. Rising prices forced people to squeeze their spending habits, everybody was feeling the heat and decided not to burn fingers in such a volatile atmosphere, as a result demand dried up from the market be it for cars, consumer durables or luxury items. Sub Prime crisis of US fueled crisis of Indian Financial Institutions. They became wary of lending. Trust dried up from the markets. Inter bank lending rates increased so much that virtually applied brakes on fund transfers between various FIs/NBFCs . Corporates were not getting loans from banks to fund their operations. Many corporate postponed their expansion plans to the next five year period. On the other side, Indian Stock markets were bleeding by the bearish attack in which many investors lost their hard earned money. FIIs moved out from Indian Markets after sniffing uncertainties of Indian Economy. Crisis in USA led to decrease in Dollar value leading to dollar outflow from many countries which increased the demand of dollar and Rupee became weak against dollars.

I think this much was not enough. We came across to "Satyam Fraud". Fourth largest IT company's Chairman accepted $1b scam and accepted that Satyam's balance sheet was fabricated by corrupt deeds to quench greed, excessive greed for money which forced AP govt to incarcerate Raju for his dastardly act of cheating trust of Indian investors and tarnishing image of "Brand India". When the "greed for money" graduates to "greed for wealth" such scams become imminent. Few years ago I read an article about Ramlinga Raju as how he started with an idea of Satyam and made it one of the India's biggest IT giant employing more than 50000 employees spread across the globe promoting Brand 'India". I never thought that company like "Satyam" would flout all rules of Corporate Governance and will mar Corporate Indian Brand. It drew flak from many corporates and brand India got busy in strengthening its magical power of attracting business with parallel investigations into Satyam's to A-Satyam path. Much to the investigator's chagrin, this path was full of fraud, cheat, bribery, unethical means of making and diverting money etc. Satyam flouted all accounting rules and its balance sheet was full of "virtual Cash" which never existed with Banks which its balance sheet claimed. Further investigations could not convince us that Raju has large lands in and around Hyderabad in his or his family member's name. After all this, today there are as many as 25 lawyers who are fighting for Raju to make him escape the "punishments" from the law of land which he convincingly accepted virtually in his letter to SEBI.

According to me, we should take a break and reconfigure our laws and make them easily executable. Laws should accord more power to the executors. Besides, for extreme cases I have one idea on how to decide the punishment of the culprits who play with the Indian sentiments and trust. We in our democracy use "People Power" as "Supreme Power", as this power makes or breaks Governments. If this power exists so why cant we use it to decide the fate of culprits. If people can decide who can rule the country, cant they decide the fate of criminals. We can have a poll on various options of execution of "Raju" and then based on that verdict we can decide the fate of culprits. I know it is easier said than done but my point is, if this is not possible and then why Pan India is thinking Raju may go scot-free and he may not be disassociated with Satyam. Something like that happened with me, not too great to cheer but atleast something to smile.

Going for a new flick that too in the best cineplex in the town is always troublesome, long queues, romeos all around the ticket windows, girls who add to the crowd who have bunked college to watch movie with their beaus, elderly couples enjoying movie coz they are "Standard Life insurance" holders -they are living with "sar utha ke", few elderly people coming there with a will as " karo jyada ka irada' campaign of Max has moved them. Well this kinda scenario is quite common when you go for a new movie. Things are never gonna easy. Problem gets even worse if SRK is donning that movie. Bingo ! you guessed it right..."RAB NE...".

At first instance I thought , this being a family movie, will not invite much rush and can easily get into it. But things were quite antithetical. It was nearly impossible to enter even into the premises of the cineplex. Many a times I just passed by that road to gauge the "bheed".But to my surprise even after a week, it was still the movie of the town. Well I also thought differently and made up my mind to watch it in this bheed .

I came for lunch from office and was taking rest then an idea struck my mind. "An idea can change your mind...donned by AB.." ..no no...my own idea to watch this movie on weekday that too after noon show. May be "bheed kam hogi" and will some how manage to sneak into the theatre ofcourse with tickets. Well phir kya tha, I shared this with my wife, she too joined my club of great ideas. I decided to take half day off..(poor chap ..left with only 1 CL)....anyways, we got ready and hopped on our bike to reach theatre. I asked Swati to go for tickets as ladies queue was lil smaller. She was in the queue and i was getting happy that she will come back with the tickets. But to my chagrin, she came back without tickets, she said, "window was shut moment my turn came". I said no issues. We will get the tickets. We will not let this "mauka" go out of our hands. Very confidently, I approached scooter standwaala, and asked him for tickets, he answered democratically, "yahan aisa kaam nahin hota". I said okay, but if you get one you call me , I m standing near side window. To my surprise, he indicated me to a person who had tickets, ofcourse he wished to sell it in black ( I watched movie "Black"without black ticket but Rab ne....with black..yeh kya rab...:( Anyways, we made the double payment and we got mast tickets and we enjoyed the flick.

Well definitely "where there is a will there is a black ....."

FEELING BIRTHDAY @ 27

03 December 1981 (Thursday) :

Day of Joyand contentment for my parents. They became very happy to see me smiling. My mother used to tell me that doctor used to call me "Daroga ji" . I dunno why and how this name came into his head..may be i was looking like a lil daroga or can say brave cop. he he..far from reality 22 years hence i graduated from Dayalbagh Engg college and got posted in an Engineering giant as Design Engineer. Well not simply graduated i topped in my college and got "Director's Medal" for that ( 19th November 2004). That day also, my parents were happy. Happy for my success, they felt this way but i made them realised -it was their success. Years of love, sacrifice, care and concern helped me achieve what i achieved that day.

Years have passed after that, got married and got a very good friend- My wife. My first Bday with her has been one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. She made feel the importance of the day of my birth to me, convinced me how much this date matters to her. While asking me to go to bed early so as not to miss the office, she had a wonderful plan in her mind. I couldnot read it or can say i really never thought of it.When clock ticked 12 midnight, i heard a whisper in my ears, somebody was trying to wake me up for a surprise. I woke up to see Swati (my wife) standing in front of me with a B'day cake wishing me "Happy Birthday". I must add it was one of the most touching moments of my life which i can never forget. Not only cake, she gifted me my all time fave "Apple iPod" which i kept on delaying in purchasing as i thought there few more serious things for which i should save and should not fritter away money in these petty gadgets. She somehow smelled this thinking of mine, i think from then on she started saving for the D day, and gifted me an ipod without making me feel the weight of it on my wallet. She never wants me to change, she wants to keep me as i was before marriage, i should not keep on saving on the gounds that i am married now and i should check my spending habit.

Then in the morning too, she whispered in my ears, wake up, see the beautiful day is greeting you "Happy Birthday", then again she gifted me a BIG greeting, promising me 12 things that matter most in my life and for each promise there was a rose in the packet.

All in all, a wonderful experience. In the evening, she organised a party for a blast. Had great fun. Really i m feeling good @ 27 with my life and wife.

CYCLE OF CHANGE: SINGLE TO BEING MARRIED

DO WE REALLY CHANGE AFTER MARRIAGE ? IS BEING MARRIED REALLY BLISS ?

Today when i was going through the TOI, i got stuck with these captions of an article and i couldnot resist myself reading that article fully. Well thats the first change that i have felt after getting married- read read and read any article with captions like "married, or marriage etc". Not because everything is not fine, its coz of that extra craving to cross the perfection which in reality never happens.

I would humbly say that its quite early for me to vouch that "marriage is a bliss or not" coz every thing has a warranty and i m into that phase. Once this guarantee period is over , i would in a better position to comment whether -Marriage is bliss or not. However, the other question- do we really change after marriage ? Answer is perfect and clear -'YES" We do change and all changes happen for good and for maintaining harmonious relations with the environment at home and around.

Sleeping late is a passe ! What was that waking up late i have forgotten but i have a hazy picture in my mind that i used to get off bed 15 min before my office time and i used to get ready in just 15 mins and rush to office. Well that was possible because i used to skip bath, breakfast and sometimes brush [in emergency when i used to get off 5 mins before my office time]. Now , i wake up whopping 1 hour before my office, after morning ablutions [ unfortuntely bath is also included :( ] , breakfast and newspaper i have time to play pranks at my wife and she does too. After that last 5 mins of playful pranks [ in which i earlier used to get ready - c the contrast] , i manage to reach office at time. Oops ! i dont manage - i reach office at time, hope my wife is not reading this !

Shopping and more shopping !! Every sunday is a shopping day after marriage. Yes, every sunday there is a cycle which completes itself and gives the output list, a loong list indeed. Visits to all branded outlets become common. Many a times, first we observe an item and then we start thinking how can this item be adjusted in our home to accetuate its beauty. It is now that i could understand "Reverse Engineering" concept. I play with it every sunday. Wall hangings to new bedsheets, sofa covers to new kitchen appliances. Credit cards start crying and visit to onlinesbi.com and icicibank.com becomes daily routine. Every sunday atleast once i feel i earn less. but all that is fun but that fun is never completed unless we visit the food plaza in the mall itself. God knows what happens to home kitchens after marriage, they also go on holiday on sundays.

Myth: Every bachelor experiences a surge in his phone bills once in a life time- period between engagement and marriage.

Reality: There is no peak in the phone bills coz every month we see a new peak.

Reason is a big circle which we have to deal with now. My mom n dad, her mom n dad, my frenz, her frenzz, my relatives her relatives etc. Its obvious though but its a thrill to see a new peak every month. I dont know, what happens to all frens also, they also start behaving in a weird manner. One common comment you will recieve after marriage form your frens is : "Bhool gaye yar humey shaadi ke baad ". Why ? Why i am going to forget you just coz i m married now. To maintain status quo in the relationships with frenz, i call them regularly now.

Investments: Yes only after marriage i started thinking of this. Before that i knew only expenditures and investments and savings was an alien to me. Reason why i started thinking of investments and savings is: to meet urgent needs. I dont know why we guys start feeling that urgent needs only after marriage. Anyways, thats a good thing i have started investing now and planned for my savings also.

Curtain: I dont know why my house has got so many windows and doors which are shouting fortissimo for curtains, as if purchasing curtains is a easy task. Believe me guys, this is the toughest task to do, and in your house too if you have to plan for 18 doors and windows, its gonna be a hardest nut to crack. Drawing room has got special privilege in the home. That room of the house is given 5 star importance but what about other rooms, afterall they are also part of our house. Ofcourse yes, but drawing room is the showcase of your house. Remember!

Kitchen: Believe it or not. I was startled to see our interest in updating ,dotting and punctuating kitchen with latest items and trendy cutlery. Fridge is a integral part of kitchen it has to be in kitchen as if you place it outside you may be asked several times to give the milk packet placed in it no matter how busy you are with your movie. Tip: Always keep your fridge in the kitchen for your own good. I heard of plastic sheets for the first time for the wall almirahs. I used to use newspapers for that purpose but i dint knew that newspapers look cheap. Ofcourse they are cheaper than expensive plastic sheets with frills. But then it adds beauty to your house. I am happy.

I personally feel marriage is the best thing that can happen to anybody. Only after getting married i have started thinking responsively, caring relations, planning for my future et al. We go so many highs and lows in married life [ofcourse i have lot to see yet]which tests our relationship. It is this process which pulls us both together.Best thing in being married is that you have got someone [during times when whle world turns a blind eye towards you]who is there for you, looking at you smiling !! Marriage is bliss or not i cant comment now but i can vouch its the best thing that has happened in my life !!

<img title="Do not copy content from the page. It will catch us unawares, we will be surprised at the tricky situation life poses at us and we have no solution for that. We would feel frustrated, helpless & exasperated and in the end the one who tries to get out of that tricky situation finds a way out of that maze and he succeeds in cracking an undecipherable code of life. This is the way we all should look at life and address our relations.

We move with lots of people, we talk with friends, we dine out with loved ones and freak out for crazy activities with our buddies .....during all these activities we are unconsciously cracking that "code" of life. Depending on level of maturity , sensibility and intelligence- sometimes we succeed and sometimes we fail. When we are with a group we tend to lose our individuality and drape ourselves with a general pattern of behavior and silhouette of the group. We work with consensus , we face scuffles with our friends but we manage and enjoy.

Life at times also tries to strip our disguised personality and exposes our individuality to the group and depending on the image of that naked individuality, people start admiring or abhorring that person. Let me think, literally what will happen when our individuality starts melting away after being stripped by life. What we will see ? Skin, blood, bones...what else...this is what we all are made up of. Something which we all dont want to see at all. Isn't this ironical ? We abhor and avoid something which we all are made up of. While moving on a road if we happen to see a skeleton -we would scream or get scared rather than thinking of it as an individuality stripped of its coatings & embellishments. We all are like this. Be it workplace, school, college, malls, cinema theatre everywhere we tend to behave which we are not. We lose our individuality and try to adjust with the people around.

Let us put this case of individuality to a practical situation. Imagine a party is going on a cruise in the middle of Atlantic ocean on a starry night, where everybody is enjoying with his/her loved ones. Everybody admiring the ones who they look upto. Everyone in the party is part of a group which in crude sense is a minute form of "crowd". This crowd would move normally without any commotion unless its stability is pricked. Once this is done, a chaos would grip the whole group called "crowd" and everybody would start thinking about themselves and will forget about who is old and who is frail. This happens when we step out of "group individuality" to step into "self individuality" and this is what actually happened when Titanic sank in the vastness of the Atlantic ocean. Everybody on the cruise was moving comfortably and the system was stable till the point when its stability was pricked when it collided with a frozen glacier.

We are living in a world where everything is in a state of flux- Govt changes, prices are unstable, we change girl friends, switch to new job, buy new brands .. etc but we donot change. We should not change because life is game and we are practicing its rules and rehearsing to be successful in this game for the last "n" number of years [ n >> number of years since we are born] and when we have become perfect why should we change ourselves now ? Isn't that stupid ? We all have come here to win, then who cares for our own self or our alter ego. We tend to slip into different personalities without any qualms and thereby learning rules of the this game called LIFE.

Cricket --A Shattered Dream---

"loading...... ███ 10% ██████ 20% ██████████ ...failed---Unskilled Batsmen"

What do you think is so potent, so extensive, so contagious which grips 100 million Indian citizens in one go..??? Is it Rakhi Sawant's Item song..? Is it Manmohan's Speech ? Is it CNN-IBN News ? Is it Yash Raj's new release ? Nope....

It is something which has got tremendous penetration- be it Delhi or Kanyakumari, Surat or Assam, its ubiquitous with equal energy and effects. It is present in narrow lanes of Hyderabad to Shivaji stadium of Maharashtra, its in heart of every Indian, people cancel all appointments to enjoy it. It is cricket. Never in the past something had been more famous than cricket and nothing is more contagious than cricket and nothing can replace the popularity of cricket in the years to come. So what is it that makes cricket such a popular sport in India ?

Before answering this question, i would like to go back to the basics first. What is popularity ? What are the attributes which when combined together becomes so potent that it starts ruling millions of hearts ? Anything first attract people for its unique charm and attraction. There is always some common fabric that binds all people for the special liking for this game. Is it Patriotism ? Nope ! Had it been so then our countrymen would have shown the same magnitude of interest for other games also where India participates.

It is the sense of equality which every Indian feels while watching cricket match. During a cricket match we don't hesitate to ask a autorickshaw waala for the current scores and he also feels happy in telling you the scores. Indian team is a judicious mix of all religions - we see players from all parts of our country and all when play together represent individual passion and spirit for the game which we all Indians share at the same time. During the cricket match, we all feel the same thing- we are Indians, never in our daily lives a moment comes when we all Indians at the same time feel the same, not even during 26th Jan & 15th Aug.

Trudging the Path of Life...

Life goes on and so are we. Sometimes we try to catch up with life but when we move slowly we fail to match the pace of life. Fact is time runs at its own pace, its all about the momentum WE deliver to our lives by our activities and actions, its all about affection we create for our lives by loving or admiring someone, its all about focus and commitment we show towards our goal, career and family, its all about enjoying what we have all around, its all about living with peace and harmony, its all about being true and honest to fellow humans, its all about living a healthy life ---Life is all about this. Its ideal.

Things donot happen the way they are supposed to...rather they offer a trick, spin and googly to check our capabilities and strength to sustain the pressures of the various forces around.

I have started believing that life balances its act of giving and taking and but it will definitely not deter you from your destiny. I dont know whether any invisible force exist, i dont know whether one's stars matter or not, i am also not clear the next thing that would happen to me is controlled by me or someone else...but i know one thing for sure...i would definitely move on..

We pass 18 odd years with family, pampered by parents ,elders and live a secured life. Then a journey starts where we start realizing that -from now what i m going to do..its gonna affect my destiny. Is it true ? even i dont know this coz i dont know the variables which control this..but we have control on us, our actions and obsessions which drive us and propel us to gather enough speed to trudge the path of life.

We start a race when we join some college. Initially everyone is at same level of knowledge and understanding. We slowly start accumulating knowldege and sharpen our skills to outshine others to grab the best deal available outside. Fact is with sheer dedication and hard work everyone acheives what they have thought of but sooner or later we start realizing that we are not made for this. Then starts an endless cycle of introspection, we try our luck at something new , which we had never thought of doing, few succeeed but many fail which demoralizes them..Few who succeed are the ones with whom we had passsed our great time, they are our buddies, on one side we feel good on the flip side we feel sad when we look at us... and fail to match us with the success of our buddies. We start realizing ....that we should not stop....and then i think .. i ll move on ..to trudge the path of life...

What is so potent, it passes effortlessly from mother to child…from generation to generation?”

Give it a thought......?? Hmm.....many answers..huh....Life, Emotions, Feelings.....in reality the kind of response to this question would prove the kind and expanse of thinking we all have. We live a contended life, we get breakfast, we take lunch, we take dinner and besides all this we also indulge ourselves in enjoying .."sabka thanda ek"
et al....How..and Why..??

We live in a country where development is taking place at a very fast pace , we are challenging developed economies in various fields and we have enough disposable income to shell out for sth to eat besides regular diets.....result ....opening up of retail food outlets. like...McD, Pizza Hut, Yo China.....for coffee freaks >>...Barista, CCD etc...where they charge more than what they actually spend to prepare that stuff but v all pay happily.. i would never mind to shell out 100 bucks for Russian Frappe @ Barista and Vijay Malaya would never mind to shell out 500 bucks for a cup of coffee @ 7* Hotel, it depends on financial cushion you have to bear the shock of your spending habits. Newayz...what i m trying to hint writing all this...about money and fooding habits...m giving hints to answer my question-- What is so potent , it passes effortlessly from mother to child from generation to generation?

We get various forwarded mails daily being circulated from various parts of world. Few portray gruesome act of brutality in Iraq, few are comic and few r knowledgeable...i remember reading a mail which listed various facts like--- Place where Success comes before Work? Which family of words start and end with the same alphabet ? What is that which you cant wet ? What goes up and down the hill but never moves ? I would like to answer the second question - it is family of continents -Asia, America, Australia, Europe, Africa, Antarctica. Its true that all words start and end with the same alphabet but not all are having same level of development and level of living. In many countries of Africa people don't get food even once a day . Here people die of hunger, starvation and malnutrition. Here mothers transfer their hunger to their child and they are doing so through ages. It passes effortlessly because its a natural process and ladies give birth to malnourished babies. So its HUNGER which passes effortlessly from mother to child - so deadly that it kills 25000 people a day. ...........................................................................................................

Shades of Success n Failures

It was seventh semester in my Engg college and placement fever was picking up. Many friends joined MBA coaching instis to brush up their aptitude and vocab skills. I didnot joined that rat race as i was more concerned for my suckin acads. I was through with my vocab stuff and was busy collecting past question papers of different companies which visited our campus for PPT and final placements. My Hit List was clear- either Tata Motors or TCS.

Preparations were going on nicely, campus was abuzz with placement activities, guys were busy with sth be it final year project or placement prepzz or competitive exams. An air of determination and sincerity was apparent in all my college friends.

After lots of jugad and magajmaari we managed to get some sample questions of past year Tata motors placement questions. Man...they were really difficult..we all thought ..if they gonna ask questions of this frequency we better change our hit list....but NO...we are not weak ass ..we all spoke in unision..and started gearing up for the D-day. Sample questions were pasted on almost all notice boards. Those questions were only point of discussion those days...no body bothered whatz happening with Urmila and who watched latest porno clip..mms whatever..those days DPS clip was in news...but v poor chaps were not having cell phones ...i think that was okay..v were not gizmo freak otherwise we would not have been sitting here where v r today..

Just before the final dates were announced we had to talk our PPO 4 times a day ..he was famous as "Daddoo" --man with tight big tummy and man of shitty attitude...he would always discourage you by saying u guys are not even worth of sitting for such big companies like TATAs....v alll used to feel like killing him at that very moment but v all used to control our nerves thinking that afterall he is our Placement Officer...

On the D-Day , we had Pre Placement talk in which TML guyz briefed us of the pay package and a promo video at that moment we all were feeling as if one day v all wud become gr8 automobile engineers. Anywayz things went well, i cleared the written exam dunno how..paper was damn tough but since it was a relative performance that too with just campus guys...i managed to get thru the written part of the selection process...then we all had to appear for GD process. We all were segregated into groups of eight and were given a schedule...my group was second to enter. We all were made to sit in semi circle and were handed over a sheet of paper and pencil...moderator was a smart, good looking lady..she instructed us how to conduct our gd, rules, time and overall asked us to come to a consensus through discussion. We all had our GD for 10 minutes..all fighting for job that too for Tata.....GD went well...and in just 15 minz lady was ready with the list of student she thought are worth giving chance to appear for interviews...

She started calling names... Prashant, Jayant Sharma, Ajay Singh..................list concluded...I was wondering whrzz my name...????? Soon i realized i have not been selected...for a fraction of second i thought that ahh....i missed it....then i broke into tears..i dunno why those tears came out of my eyes...but i realized they came out coz i was hurt with the results tht too after hard work and serious preparation...The guys who got thru were jubiliant and started preparing their files for interviews and i was standing in the corner watching them as if i m useless.....i again tht..ahh....shit...i missed it..damn it...fuck me.....but soon i realized that may b it was not my destiny...things never come ur way as per ur aspirations.. whatever one gets in life gets it through a proper design which life has prepared for all of us [Watch movie: Final Destination about Design of Death]. No one can outrun his destiny. This is how i convinced myself of my failure.

*********Coming up next.....my success part......*********

Action Star- Jason Statham- A Biography

British director Guy Ritchie frequently attributes the success of his unorthodox crime films -- 1998's Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, 2000's Snatch -- to the fact that his offbeat miscreants are more than believable, they are real. Preferring to cast for authenticity rather than resumé, Ritchie handpicks many of his actors from the true-life cult figures and rascals of London's underbelly. Actor Jason Statham is among the best of them.

A one-time Olympic diver, fashion model, and black-market salesman, Statham came to acting by way of commercials and "street theater" -- a euphemism for hustling tourists on London's Oxford Street. Raised in Syndenham, London, he was the second son of a lounge singer and a dressmaker turned dancer. Although Statham had the familial background to go immediately into entertainment, he excelled first on the high dive. He was a member of the 1988 British Olympic Team in Seoul, Korea, and remained on the National Diving Squad for ten years. In the late '90s, a talent agent specializing in athletes landed Statham a gig in an ad campaign for the European clothing retailer French Connection. This led to an appearance in a Levi's Jeans commercial and a fledgling modeling career. Meanwhile, Statham had also earned local fame as a street corner con man, selling stolen jewelry and counterfeit perfume out of a briefcase. Thus, when French Connection's owner became one of the biggest investors in Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, he naturally introduced the diver/model/hustler to knave-hunting Ritchie.

Intrigued by Statham's past and impressed by his modeling work, Ritchie invited him to audition for a part in the film. The director challenged Statham to impersonate an illegal street vendor and convince him to purchase a piece of imitation gold jewelry. Statham was evidently so persuasive that Ritchie bought four sets. When the director attempted to return his worthless acquisition -- pretending that the gold had turned to stainless steel -- Statham was so graciously inflexible that Ritchie hired him.

This unorthodox audition resulted in Statham's big screen debut as Bacon, one of Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels' four primary characters engaged in a risky get-rich-quick scheme to repay a massive gambling debt. Bacon supplies a streetwise discipline and restraint that the other characters lack and a sense of humility crucial to Ritchie's film. In the director's follow-up crime comedy, Snatch, Ritchie rehired Statham to play Turkish, a smalltime hood vainly trying to break into the world of underground boxing. As this amateur but respectable hoodlum, Statham is attractive, urbane, immaculate, and smart enough to be bewildered by even his own laughable criminal ineptitude. The role began as a small supporting part in Snatch's star-filled ensemble cast but expanded throughout shooting. By the time of the film's theatrical release, Statham received top billing as its narrator and chief anti-hero.

The Guy Ritchie oeuvre that supplied his breakthrough performances is not Statham's only acting arena. In 2000, he made his American film debut as a British drug dealer in Robert Adetuyi's Turn It Up starring Pras Michel. By 2001, he had finished shooting John Carpenter's sci-fi thriller Ghosts of Mars and joined Delroy Lindo in the cast of the Jet Li vehicle The One.

Source: Statham Fan site

Dhoom 2 Promo: Awesome Video

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://anuragpandey.blogspot.com/2006/11/dhoom-2-promo-awesome-video.html' title=' Internet attracts hell lot of people from all over the world huddled over their desktops n laptops busy-- chatting, emailing, finalizing business deals, dating and what not. Internet picked up pace in late 90s and its now spreading at light’s speed. There is hardly any part of the world which has not witnessed the magic of www. Software professions call it “Cyber space”.

To me it conjures up a little bit different image. It’s a world which has got ample space to accommodate large number of feelings and emotions of all those who are solitary, unhappy and incomplacent with what they have or it’s a medium of communication which engenders many new relations. Relations built up on internet are at times better than offline counterparts. Unlike offline world, people start chatting online with an unknown person, here people shed all inhibitions whatsoever and are able to speak freely, and imagination paints all walls of passion and seduction and this makes them feel light, healthy and contended. Indeed, online relationships can be unusually seductive. They are readily accessible, they move very quickly, and under the cloak of anonymity, they make it easy for people to reveal a great deal about themselves which may or may not be fruitful.

Yesterday I was watching a movie which was based on “dangerous obsession” of a lady for a married man. Man’s wife was pregnant and rarely did they use to have sex, so husband decides to explore the online world for some chic to pass his time. He hits the online world and finds one girl, after just 2-3 chat sessions, lady develops a strong obsession for that man and decides to have a relation with him. Finally man refuses to accept her and the lady, burning in the fire of passion and seduction ,decides to intrude into his personal life to make it hollow and frail. What's so ironic about using the internet is that it's a solitary activity that leads to social contact-while it isolates users from their own families, the people in the very next room. One reason it does this is that Internet use is almost addictive; the rewards of contact are so immediate and so pleasurable. And while cyber relationships can be more sincere and open than offline relationships, they also leave a great deal of room for deception. The trouble with deception is that it kills intimacy and ruptures trust in the primary relationship.

I don’t think that online relations are going to eclipse offline ones but most feasible and logical prognosis would yield us that advent of internet relationships will ultimately force us to relax our view of romantic exclusivity and romantic betrayal and it could have an impact on the way we conduct offline life and even change our view of infidelity.

Well, hope you have enjoyed reading this as much as I have enjoyed writing it.

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Comment Worth Reading ...on my blog "Domestic Violence..."

Friends,

One of my friends- Mohit Madan (Sys Engineer-TCS) has written a wonderful comment and has analysed the issue precisely.

A Must Read....

You all can send me your personal views, on my mail id and i ll post them here for all....

Happy Reading....

Ann

Hello Anurag

First i would like to acknowledge ur prowess and adroitness in handling such a issue. You have very adeptly managed both sides of the coin and have impartially given your views on the "Domestic Violence Act".. You have communicated your thoughts very effectively but with some major assumptions :

1. With just chalking/announcing the Legal Act/Law does not ensure that implementation and effectiveness will be bang on. So at the moment we cannot comment on the effectiveness of the same.

2. The conservative(rural and semi-urban) Indian households, who will majorly benefit from this law are unaware of the same as the media blitz is in the urban segment. So yet again not sure about the effectiveness of the Act.

3. Last, the appoiintment of Officers etc does not ensure that the Act/Law will be in action in full swing. The corruption Index/Level in India is so high that the officers cannot be entrusted to do an honest task.

Some Solutions

1. The fear factor in the minds of the Indian household women is so deep-rooted that proper facilitation centres has to be in place.

2.Proper protection should be given to women who raise a concern wrt domestic violence.

3. No matter, history is replete with umpteen number of violence cases against women. Myriad attempts have been made to ensure them happy, contended, respectful and a secure life. “Frailty thy name is women” does not hold much ice in today’s genre. Our society has already witnessed spate of acts, which were enacted to strengthen women’s position in our society. Dowry Act, Sharda Act of the past and latest Domestic Violence Act 2005 which came into effect from 26th Oct 2006. One of most compelling reasons to conceptualize this act was the fact that more than 70% women in India are victim of domestic violence. Shouting at wife for whatever reasons, compelling her to watch porn movie together, forced intercourse, physical violence like slapping, hitting, kicking, pushing etc all comes under the purview of this new act. Ministry of Women and Child Development would have analyzed at depth the relationship of a married couple and after serious brainstorming they would have given shape to this act.

Objective of any act or law is to ensure application of “just” methods to live life and any deviation from this would call for legal action. I fully agree that this act would definitely help in curtailing the domestic violence cases but is it morally and ethically right for any act or law to sneak into one’s life to the extent of personal sex life? Tomorrow, while having sex, if a husband presses hard and if it feels uncomfortable to his female partner, she can sue him. In any married relationship, there are several instances where husband has to shout at his wife but from now onwards, he would think twice before even speaking and this would definitely wither away the naturality and harmony of the relationship. Besides looking at positive aspects of this act, which of course are many, if we observe closely, it is apportioning unnecessarily more importance and power to women, which might prove futile in the long run. Not all marriages are successful, and if this is the case, then women can get her partner incarcerated for committing a trivial act like shouting at her, and later that lady would ask for divorce. This act is definitely going to make position of husbands more vulnerable rather than strengthening women’s position. Not all ladies in our society are Savitri and Sita, and negative ladies could misuse this act to even blackmail husbands –which is one among many preposterous possibilities.

Let us evaluate how potent this act would be if implemented properly. In the name of implementation, this act will provide for, inter alia, appointment of protection officers, service providers and councellors. It has been assumed that if a lady complains for such genuine violence acts, she would definitely be given justice (albeit a remote possibility because we have already evaluated the effectiveness of our judicial system in Jessica Lal and Priyadarshini Mattoo’s murder cases) is it really possible, especially in our society, which has become subservient to corruption and venality. Guilty husband would bribe the protection officer and case would not even get registered. This way, lady would be left to fend for herself because by knocking at deaf doors of justice, she would ruin her own life. Neither she will get justice nor her husband’s affection marking a big question mark on the credibility and genuineness of this act.

So at this outset, having evaluated this act from both male and female vantage points, we find that such type of acts would do no significant benefit to women but it would definitely encourage women to ruin their own married life. Ministry of Women and Child should look for some alternative route to ensure safe, secure, contended and happy life to women of our society.

Are you Video Freak ?

World's Best Link to World of Videos ----
YouTube

Explore It..... Similarly, business pathway is replete with such endorsement stories, which have helped many brands to sustain the negative vibes of extreme competitive scenario. Brands associate themselves with popular celebrities to catch the fancy of youngsters, which results in surge of demand for such products. Brands thrive so are these celebrities as they charge anywhere around Rs 50k to Rs 2 Cr to associate their names with such products.

Take a pause here, Do you think only celebrities hold brand value? Think again, because our so-called chauvinistic politicians have also joined the rat race of endorsements, who hitherto have had been doing this for their respective political parties. Game has already started, ball has been set rolling but not for multi-million value brands but for incipient firecrackers business. This Diwali, Patna markets were deluged with firecrackers named after Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, his wife Rabri Devi, Nitish Kumar. “Lalu-Rabri parachute”, “Rabri rockets”, “Nitish throwbombs”,”Nitish flowerpots” have been found to be quite popular this Diwali. Brands carrying big names definitely helped wholesalers this diwali to get decent returns. Well what do you feel, is it possible for these petty firecrackers manufacturers to flash names of these politicians free of cost or politicians allowed it to happen- free of cost? Of course not! Our politicians think thrice before taking any decision and they do everything for some personal gain. In this case, besides, huge chunk of profits, which definitely would have flown to these people, they would have derived one indirect benefit from such popularity. This way, inter alia, their popularity must have gained deeper penetration, which would strengthen their vote bank in the forthcoming elections.

I feel such popular persons should use their popularity for some good cause, something whose benefits our society can accrue. One way of doing this could be, they can associate themselves with condoms. Condoms assure safe sex, prevents spread of HIV virus, but unfortunately only few struggling models sign for such endorsements just to mark the first step in their career. Point here is, why we haven’t seen any big star, or famous politician endorsing condom brands? We also talk of introducing a paradigm shift in our school curriculum by introducing sex education, but we often fail to walk our talk. But if at all we take such steps in this direction, it would definitely curtail spread of deadly disease to some extent. These days, premarital sex is not rare. As per survey conducted by Population Council, an International NGO, confirmed prevalence of premarital sex. It found that about one in five men and little less than one in 20 women have had premarital sex. In posh areas too, which are equipped with all modern amenities-better schools, medical facilities etc but despite all this, HIV prevalence is high. Why? Reason is lack of awareness, negligence-if we are aware, funds not being utilised properly, crass politics in implementing any new policy towards this cause, are inter alia, few points which prermaturely attempts to answer this "Why".

Recently, Melinda -Gates foundation sanctioned huge amount for developing infrastructure to fight AIDS. Well, lets hope, our politicians make best use of it rather than squandering it away or transfering it to their own hidden account.

Let us have a compulsory endorsement policy, which will make it mandatory to have most famous celebrities who will promote Anti-AIDS campaign, conduct programs which will sensitize teenagers, adults, parents and the like to such deadly disease. Rather than making “Lalu-Rabri Parachute” or “Nitish Throw bombs”, we all should aim for doing something for the betterment of society. Let us have endorsements, which are beyond personal benefits and for a cause- dedicated towards having a safe and healthy society.

Who is Sexier??....Wanna Play, Donot Miss it -->>>

Priyanka Chopra has been voted The Sexiest Asian Woman of 2006, snatching the crown from the dusky beauty Bipasha Basu who came in as runner-up.Former Miss World, Chopra is said to be surprised but happy about the honour, but to my surprise Ashwariya Rai, who is regarded as the most beautiful woman in the world is rated as third.

Comment on this blog as to who deserved this title in the true sense- Priyanka or Aishwarya, and introduce a serial number to yourself starting with 1, comment with serial number , x , xx , xx, & xx would be accepted to be the unanimous verdict.... well these codes could be 8, 12, 16, 18 or 20. Nature freak guys pack their bags and move out to explore unexplored natural beauty hidden in jungles, mountains and the like. They are moved by the astonishing beauty of ice-laden mountain peaks, captivating views of cute animals fiddling & pirouetting, amazing silhouette of trees growing naturally around river valleys, lilting music generated by ever flowing rivers and the like. Their endless urge of exploring the unexplored vistas propels them to the exotic locations, which are aplenty in our country. Well I am not this kind of freak traveler, I have hardly traveled this much but I feel I have spark somewhere hidden deep inside my heart.

I kept myself busy for almost 22 years at one place completing all basic formalities of school, college, I hardly had any time and resources of my own to involve in these kinds of activities, nor my father allowed me doing all this, being a strict academician he always insisted me to focus on my studies. After completing my graduation, I moved out of my place to lead an independent life. With God’s grace, I got a rewarding job, fat paychecks ensured me a decent living standard. During first year of my job, I got an exciting opportunity to travel all the way to south to Tamil Nadu. I had a stay of around 3 months there. I planned a trip to Kodaicanal, Madurai, Kanyakumari, Rameshwaram and Trivandrum. It was a 3-4 day trip with my friends. We started at around 3 AM in our private Toyota Qualis, thanks to M/s Raja Tours n Travels, I remember, how difficult it was to negotiate with a Tamil guy who had little smattering of Hindi language. Journey started with high energy songs, freaky activities but all settled soon and all of my friends were snoring after about half an hour. I was on the front seat, busy enjoying the boundless greenery of Tropical Rain Forests, roads were new, never trudged by me before, my car was cruising on the highway at 90 MPH, Tamil songs (which were hardly making any sense to me) were adding flavor to my high level excitement. We reached Kanyakumari at around 5:30 AM.

It took me couple of minutes to accept that I have reached the tip of our Indian mainland, few yards way from me, was endless Indian ocean kissing the feet of our mother-land. High-energy roaring waves were hitting the shore generating noise, which was so good to feel. After waiting for few minutes, I got an opportunity to watch dawn unfolding in front of my eyes at one end of the ocean. After enjoying sunrise, we checked in to a hotel, we got freshened up and moved out to visit Vivekananda rock. One not so big ship ferried us to the rock. It was a nice place. I took some great shots from my camera. In next few days, we visited Trivandrum, Madurai, Rameshwaram and other places and came back to Tiruccchirapalli, where we were undergoing our training.

Few weeks after, on 26th December 2004, one deadly incident rocked all my memories. We got news of deadly Tsunami, which exterminated entire southern coast of our country. Hundreds died so many rendered homeless. Being very close to southern coast those days, I felt the entire incident with my heart. I had never ever thought and felt even in my remotest nightmares that nature will show its ugly face this way, that too during my first ever visit to that place. Today, when our world is turning more violent, countries are bracing themselves with nuclear weapons to stave off any disturbance in their own area. Doing so, they think that they are insulating themsleves against all potential threats. They have ignored potential threat from nature itself. Is it possible to make any weapon to fight against most powerful and all pervasive nature? Of course not. Our life is so uncertain, times are turbulent, no one knows when nature will engulf the entire humanity in one go leading to perdition. Time is less, we all should strive our best to live amicably, we all are humans, just compartmentalized into different continents and countries. All boundaries are man-made. If we observe closely, we all are one – all humans, all brothers, all-alike. Against whom we are fighting and for what? For what we are bracing ourselves with nuclear weapons? Is it worth diverting beneficial nuclear technology towards developing most deadly nuclear bombs? Two such nuclear bombs namely Little Boy & Fat Man- destroyed Hiroshima & Nagasaki respectively way back in the year 1945, during World War II as a part of Axis Powers alliance directed against Empire of Japan. They have not yet recovered. Their wounds are still fresh.

Are we preparing for World Nuclear War-I like World War I & II?

Look at these pictures below-

Hiroshima and Nagasaki Bombing Smoke Mushroom- Around 2 lakhs people died and most of them were civilians

At this outset it behooves me to quote potent lines of Devara Dassimaya (10th Century Saint and Poet) which are worth contemplating-

“ for what shall I wield a dagger O Lord?
what can I pluck it out of?
or plunge it into
when you are all the world?"

----Let Peace Prevail on our Planet Earth----

Well, hope you have enjoyed reading this as much as I have enjoyed writing it.

Also View My : Technorati Profile

Believe in Diwali Without Firecrackers

India- land of multitudes of cultures, languages, festivals, relations, emotions, exotic locations, unlimited opportunities, these are few attributes among many, which make our stay here in this country a blissful experience. All pervasive unity in diversity of our country is what distinguishes us from the rest of the world.

We Indians believe in celebrations, which is a reason for all of us to be with our families, our loved ones to enjoy some of the most beautiful moments of our lives. Our traditional calendar starts from “Chaitra” and runs through 12 months and ends at “Falgun”. Though all 365 days are special for us, but chosen few clustered together give us what we call “festive season”, one of them is the period which starts from September and runs through October & November-- during which we celebrate Ganesha Chathurthi, Nav Durga, Durga Pooja, Dusshehra, Deepawali, Dhanteras etc.

Deepawali- festival of light, is one of much awaited festivals of our country. We wish our loved ones for their bright future, we lighten our lives, our places and drive away all traces of darkness from our places.Take a pause here for a moment and think --- Are we successful in doing so? Are we successful at purging all relics of real darkness from our lives? Do you think by just lighting only our lives & places, is going to drive away the tenebrous darkness that has gripped our society? Do we ever spare a moment thinking about those people whose life has not yet seen the real light of life? Are we successful at highlighting the dark cons of mankind by the light of our lives? Answers to these questions are worth contemplating....

Diwali for most of our kids conjures up an image of festival during which they get an opportunity to light crackers. Our conditioning has been like that. To get a feel, I asked few kids, what this festival means to them – “Day for lighting crackers” a common reply. Demand for firecrackers has skyrocketed in past few years entailing rising prices. People these days have to shell out anywhere around 1000-2000 bucks to get minuscule amount of firecrackers, and if they want to slake the real thirst of firing crackers leading to neighbors envy, they should be ready to shell out anywhere around 5000-10000 bucks.

Let us understand the pricing mechanism of these firecrackers. Manufacturers manage to get basic paraphernalia from vendors which have mushroomed across the country. These vendors normally make their cartel thereby making their supply prices fixed at some pre-decided level. Labor, which accounts for significant input for any product is the only way out for manufacturers to bring down their total costing. For this, they employ small destitute kids to work in their factories. Small kids, work for long hours during August, September and October as normally these crackers hit the markets by Dussehra only. They work with dangerous chemicals, soft skins of their hands are soiled with dangerous chemicals. They unfortunately are paid a measly amount for their incessant hard work. These innocent kids are exploited to their extreme to make our Diwali a celebration of firecrackers. Alas, for them, this is just an opportunity to earn a bread. We enjoy our diwali with sweets but these kids have to remain contended with the basic roti and dal, may be even worse and are left with nothing to purchase firecrackers to celebrate their dark Diwali. For them it’s just another day.

This diwali, let all of us pledge together to curtail our budget of firecrackers by half and continue doing so every every year. This way a time will come when there would be no budget, no scope for firecrackers and hence demand for firecrackers will die automatically from the market. Doing so, we would definitely be successful in lightening many small lives and then it would be apt for all of us to say: Diwali-A Festival of Light.

Modern Life Cycle

Our Divine Father bestowed all of us with his biggest gift ever by giving us a rare opportunity of leading a human life. Life, as I perceive, is a journey - interesting, painful, spicy, beautiful and an enriching experience. At every step, we learn something, from our successes and failures, which come to all of us in dribs and drabs, not in one go. Our life cycle is 4-stage process like any product life cycle, introduction, growth, maturity and decline. Our birth symbolizes our introduction to this beautiful world, we all start growing, its an ongoing process (its not a stage, as I see it) during which we gather experiences, we all brace ourselves with knowledge and reach a stage of maturity, by that time we realize that we have created one more such cycle, we then engross oursleves in shaping that new cycle and enter into a decline phase and finally get a farewell from this beautiful world.

When I was a kid, my parents ensured me a good education by getting me admission into so-called best school in the town. Those were nice days indeed, I started learning alphabets, numbers, words then sentences, with each passing day, I was improving. Those were the days of endless study hours, sports, and exams. During that period, my glands were also busy secreting optimum amount of hormones, which were ensuring me growth. I remember, i was in X standard when I felt first crush of my life. After precise introspection now, I think i was immature enough to give proper shape to my crush and later got crushed by the exam results. That was basically fag end of 20th century. These days, scene is entirely different and our society has also changed a lot. Cell phones and Internet were not so popular in 90s but today, kids manage to get hang of computers, iPods, Xbox,PDAs , gadgets and other gizmos without much problem. Technology has contributed a lot in bracing the kids of 21st century with latest tools, which comes in handy while solving problems and understanding a difficult concept. They compliment their studies by referring encyclopedia and are able to relate their area of study with their practical implications .Learning makes sense now. Moreover, unlike me, it’s also easier for them to shape their first crush of life. They can talk to their girl friends/boyfriends on cell phone, chat with them on internet and can easily fix their dates without letting their parents know about the whole issue. They move out of their houses for tuitions and well they do everything except studies at tuition centers. Most of the budding entrepreneurs have also realized this trend and have declared areas infested with coaching institutes as “most strategic locations” to set up hang out places for youngsters.

Not much to my surprise, kids of this century are relatively more intelligent, aware, and healthy and are becoming mature quite early. They are good at decision-making, expert at offering their comments on any national and international issue. Kids are also bringing laurels to the country by getting a place in science Olympiads, sports events, art to name a few.

Indeed, in this modern life cycle, growth is faster than preceding generations and this augur a smarter, intelligent, spruced up society of tomorrow.

Our CA God

Our civilization was started from Adam and Eve, their love marked the beginning of mankind on earth. Later on, life witnessed spate of emotions and feeling elements which took the control of human life. Relations –friend, parents, siblings and the like , with whom, we share special bonding, we feel good when we are with them, we just cant imagine our life without them. Emotions like love, respect, lust, hatred, vengeance develop concomitantly with relations because as we all progress in our lives, we not only make friends but also enemies, which follows Human Entropy law which says for every positive element in life there exists a corresponding negative element .

Life is a journey, we enjoy it, but as they say there should be someone to give you company, life then I think becomes rosy, everything seems good , we develop special bonding with him/her. We start planning our life, we set our objectives goals in which both the persons have an equal role to play. As time progresses, bonding grows deeper and deeper and a state is reached when you just cant live without him/her. Our elders shower us with blessings, most famous for women are “Saubhagyavati bhav” or “Putravati bhav” and for guys its –“ Chiranjivi bhav”.

As they say, all our activities, bad or good are being recorded in the house of God, he updates balance sheet of each one of us and as soon as it starts creating imbalance, that person is called back in “Narak or Swarg” ie. Death. Today when I rang one of my friends, he just said “yaar I m busy today as my wife is on fast for me –Karva Chauth.” I was surprised that we males are so important that for the well being of their husbands ladies keep themselves on fast which is too difficult- full day without food and water. I wonder whether such acts, affects our Chartered Accountant God but Indian ladies trust this genre of fasting, particularly Karva Chauth has been accorded importance because eons ago a lady called Karva forced Yama(God of Death) to grant her husband his life by keeping herself hungry –she finally succeeded, it is this conviction that matters.

All fine, but these days, our life is so unpredictable that very next moment we get a news that our very close friends’ wife died in an accident. It is totally unbelievable, it has created a painful disturbance whose vibrations are not setting. Just 10 months, of his marriage, we all attended it, he was blessed with a lovely, charming wife. We attended several parties together, but one fine day while driving on the road, a truck rams into you leading to your death, leaving so many crying souls, paining hearts. I don’t know, what our God has in store for all of us, I don’t know what accounting standards our GOD is following, but one thing I know for sure, its patently wrong on his part to inflict so much pain to us, he just cant snatch our loved ones from us and if he does so prematurely, its inhumane on his part. Surely, our God’s accounting standard should include clauses which are built up on foundation of relations and spate of emotions that emanate from there.

Silent Night

Clock is ticking 1 AM, it’s a peaceful night but I can hear some disturbance somewhere. I wonder what kind of commotion is this? specially late in the night when everybody goes to sleep to wake up early in the morning to start one more cycle of office-home-office, somewhere I feel the disturbance, silence as portrayed by night is just an illusion while I m typing this on my computer cursor is blinking on my computer screen, it appears as if it is trying to say that keep thinking, feeling, hearing your inner voices, disturbances which may not be happening in my vicinity but they may have a bearing on me. Indeed, its true.

I peep outside my window, I see silent roads disguising the appearance of an abandoned place but somewhere people are busy in planning to earn tomorrow’s bread, some are busy in planning to ditch their business rival, some are engrossed in their love life, few helpless people are struggling to have sound sleep, big guns are busy in making a diplomatic move to earn recognition, some dark cons are busy in fabricating a plot to make another terrorist attack. These days, when the world around us is turning more disturbing, violent with every passing moment, it may be quite likely that next morning we may come across to a petty incident which at first sight may seem innocuous , but this seemingly innocuous incident may spawn an embryo of religious riot, the very next day. This would come to me as a no surprise element because in just a short span of 25 years I have already witnessed large number of such incidents, which have happened around me right after every such seemingly peaceful nights.

What impresses me most is the fact that our society is blessed with large number of social activists who are successful and contented in their own domain but because of their ability to feel the disturbance behind every such peaceful and calm night coupled by their spirit to make a difference creates a difference. As aptly said ”To make your life count on this earth, invest it in those things which count” but where are we heading -- i may sound a bit philosophical here but practically speaking just imagine an incident when we had voluntarily donated a handsome amount for hundreds of street, hungry children on the contrary what behooves all of us -- apt and meticulous planning to invest in some of the most happening mutual funds or stocks….in order to get handsome return, yes of course, we are assured of the same as there are many investment companies hiring bright minds from big MBA houses of our country to manage our funds but we hardly spare a thought of investing our life for some good cause to make it count we keep on sleeping as if we are through with our duties, our responsibilities.

There is a need of serious introspection. But as they say..”Introspection is painful, avoid it”, painful indeed--Avoid it……and enjoy sleep……!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

World of Perfumes

World has come a long way so are we and so our culture and our traditions and living style. World has enough today to satisfy all types of senses that we have-vision, taste, olfactory and hearing. Our civilization has witnessed myriad wars, violence, triumph, jubiliation through the eyes of history , heard enough from crying souls, which tasted bitter, sour as well as sweet and smelled air of polution, filth, corruption and flames of anger. In such a scenario, one product has come a long way- Perfumes. Art of making perfumes is quite old. It started form Egypt and taken forward by Romans, Arabs and Islam. Islam offers due respect to perfumes, as Mohd. Prophet said, it is mandatory and holy to take bath for every muslim man on friday so as to spread soothing fragrance all around. In France, it became major item to be exported and contributed significantly to their economy.

Perfumes, as i know, from my chemistry knowledge, is a solution of perfumery oils, aromatic compounds and some alcoholic solvents. Few more things i know, thanks to organic chemistry esp to Finar, there are five major sources for such a chemical composition- Plant , animals and synthetic- so any perfume would have used any of these or a combination of these three sources to get into shape. Anyways, technically speaking, any olfactory item belongs to following families viz. floral, chype, aldehydic, fongere, leather, wooly, oriental, amber and citrus. All perfumes in this world would definitely belong to these olfactory families.

Yesterday, after shower, i sprayed one deo but could spray only few jets because i was using the same bottle for last so many months. I used my new deo, i observed difference in level of itching feeling generated by these two different brands. I noticed difference in concentration of aromatic comounds used in these two bottles. Point worth noticing is concentration and intensity are inversely proportional. Lesser the concetration more is the intensity. Based on this concetration these perfumes are classified as--Eau de Perfume( 10-30%), Eau de Toilette(5-20%), Eau de Cologne(2-3%)- indeed we are familiar with these words, in fact all perfume lovers would have seen it on the perfume bottles but we hardly care because we are just bothered by the type of brands, we are using.

When we peep into the modern market these days, we would notice that marts are infested with large number of brands. This industry offers such a lucrative ground to play upon that it has lured so many giants to launch their brands. It requires relatively less investment when compared to its intra-industry products which includes other skin-care products etc. Markets are flooded with curvy perfume bottles which come in different shapes, they look soothing to eyes and come with heavy price tag too- i seldom go in proximity of big brands like--- Diego, Boucheron, Dkny, True Star, Instinct to name a few among male colognes and being a bachelor it behooves me to keep myself away from big and expensive female perfume brands like-Angel, Shalimar, Marc Jacobs, Devotion, Gucci,Calvin Klein,Escada to name a few in this also.

All the perfumes companies big guns are into rat race to outperform in the international markets, these big brands are endorsing famous celebrities to market their brands, for instance, Enrique for True Star, Britney for Fantasy, Cher for Uninhibited. Well it is worth noticing, when our Madhuri Dikhshit is endorsing for Lux, Catherine Zeta Jones is doing the same for Provocative. Very few indian celebrities are endorsing for perfumes as very few indian companies are into this sector. But as far as market is concerned, India is significantly big market for perfumes. Indeed it has a long way to go...............................................

Shifted Consumer Axis

Over the years our civilization has witnessed large number of changes, which has revolutionized our lives. Life is no more a struggle now. It has been painted with luxury, embellished with frills, techno-torqued by all gizmos and gadgets. Markets are deluged with latest innovative products, potent enough to slake all pervasive thirst for acquiring new and trendy stuff, which has captured minds and thoughts of youngsters. Kids are not satisfied unless they have play-station, adorable Moms all over are ready to pirouette towards Techno-savvy society and want their kids too, to come along, to catch up with latest in the market. Strict Dads are also becoming friendly enough these days with kids and are willing to buy them gadgets. They are least bothered of the consequences and after-effects. Advertising industries, these days are busy in convincing potential customers to go for hair color change. Black seems to be an archaic thing these days, our soignée savvy ladies are going to catch up the latest action and frills available in the market which will give them a new, refreshing looks. Very soon, gene revolution will reach its pinnacle, gene copying has become possible, thanks to 2006 Nobel Prize winner for Chemistry, Roger Kornberg. Indeed, New and creative products have grabbed the right nerve of the denizens and making giant leaps, thereby making our life rosier.

Technology thrives with innovative and creative ideas, which are applied meticulously after studying the consumer nature. This involves surveys, customer research and many more tedious and time-guzzling activities. Corporate houses are busy titivating up their set up, so as to make the work atmosphere apt for such tasks of gifting consumers with the latest, innovative and all-new products, which not only makes life of junta comfortable but also gives them right value for money.

Companies give their best to get right picture from the society, so that they can divert their energies for that cause and to roll out new goodies well before anticipated time. This involves getting a pattern of consumers, in the society. For this, they conduct surveys based after segmenting societies on various parameters like Age Group, Purchasing Power, Sex, Location, Physical appearance etc. This is quite obvious because including females in the survey for latest Mach-6 Razor for instance, would make no sense, similarly including kids in the survey for eco-friendly condoms would be a gibberish idea.

Imagine, a scenario in which companies are conducting their surveys based on the races, caste and skin color. Definitely, in our country it won’t go unnoticed. It would give enough food for thought to opposition parties to frame a strategy against the ruling party, which might be supporting such companies. For the corporate gurus, this idea may seem good and fruitful but in real sense it will create a scene of chaos in our society. Albeit, corporates are trying hard to give their best but our disparate, segmented society would not allow them to do so. Muslim fundamentalists may have objections from Muslim ladies wearing skirt, conservative Indian families may not allow their kids wearing latest fashion, especially girls. In such a scene of unpredictability, launching new products may boomerang back to the corporates.

In this new world, we all should live with an open mind, no matter what our religious gurus are saying, we should be in a position to evaluate choices based on our priorities, our logic and social status. Today world is moving faster than every preceding moment, we all should also gear up to embrace innovative largesse from corporate houses. Unless predictability is injected in our vivid culture and disparate society, it is quite likely that we may end up getting products not worthy at all.

Insurance Against Terror

Moment of jubilation for we Indians as we have nabbed the key suspect who was allegedly involved in 7/11 mumbai train blasts which killed almost 200 people and injured 700 (official figures, but we have ignored living dead persons of those bereaved families who lost their loved ones in this tragic incident, if we factor in this number, this will swell like air baloon )-- A news item on STAR News last night. It seems to me as a pyrrhic victory because the real mastermind is still alive and he may ignite many more sparks of terror in different parts of our land. The very next moment a high speed geared machinery in me started thinking about few new things that this world would witness in the times to come.

I remember, i was in second year of my Engineering and was busy with my studies, my dad switched on the TV and i was awestruck by the footage being shown on it--planes crashing in to huge, well engineered building turning it into rubble. It was 9/11.

Very recently, i saw entire western sub-urban train being ripped-off by series of bomb blasts wherein more than 200 people were killed and almost 700 people were injured. My inner soul got a jolt when i saw the footage showing corpses charred to death, small kids crying but of no avail. It was 7/11.

What next is in the offing --we have 365 days sectored into 12 months , we can have permutations, but why only 11 , why not 7/12, 8/2, we can ignore it now for many more important questions to answer and to mull over.

In the times to come, we would witness quizzes dedicated exclusively to Terrorism, because history is replete with terrorist activities and their sponsors. Innocent kids, will cram names of chiefs of various organizations , chronology of terrorist activities, history books will dedicate few more chapters exclusively for terrorism, because in the times to come Terrorism will come become part and parcel of our lives. I do not know, how it motivates and convinces those two human hands to strangle the mankind to death, leading to perdition.

Very soon, we all will witness spate of companies offering INSURANCE against Terrorism. Only difference would be, they will charge heavy premiums because they know for sure, they have to pay it back before the maturity, willy nilly they will have to operate because of strict regulations and policies. Our Govt., would allow 100% FDI in this to ensure safe and secure lives of citizens.

Chemical weapons, machine guns, AK-47 are things of yore, modern terrorism would be triggered by negative emotions-hatred , stygian anger etc that would go unnoticed in the baggage checking at the air port by the customs officials. No need of pricking Entropy of this universe , just brace yourself with these modern weapons, you are full fledged terrorist of 21st century.

Terrorism is an evil, it starts when frustrated human souls turn into dark cons of mankind , when they fail to meet their needs by "just methods", when their eyes revel in watching millions dying with excruciating pain. They are sick men, who hate humanity, they want to destroy mankind in the name of unknown character of this planet.

Well the comity of nations, United Nations, and the like should think about it, they should nab the sponsors of terrorism, well the names are evident. Its their botheration, we all should look forward to some new policies, new books, new quizzes and new Terrorism Insurance companies that would thrive in our country inthe times to come.

Dividing the divide

Time is changing, so are we. In this modern society, there are several drivers of change. By this change, I want to drive home a point that today rich people are getting richer and poorer getting poorer thereby creating a huge gap between the two ends.

Scene 1:

A destitute girl wearing patchy clothes with a hungry stomach ,carrying her younger brother on her back approaches a shop for some food, shopkeeper shouts at her and asks her not to visit her shop again otherwise consequences would be very bad. Small kid, not more 9 years of age, having loads of evening newspapers, running on streets to sell his papers thereby getting few cents per paper as his income. Irony of the matter is that, for this small kid, alphabets are alien and studies are something which they don’t know but they are selling newspapers. They know one thing, they need money to eke out their living.

Scene 2:

A rich spoilt girl, draped in diaphanous clothes, glossy hairs, lips shining with latest L’Oreal sparkling glossy lipstick, wearing trendy sandals, lots of wrist gears sneaks into her chauffer driven car to a pub, where she gets down and smokes one cigarette and make few international calls, then moves inside the pub where she dilutes money with her thirst for alcohol till the wee hours and comes back home partly conscious of her own identity. One small kid, not more than 9 years of age, is having arguments with his father as he wishes to take admission into the best boarding school which charges few lakhs INR as annual fees. This kid is also alien, not to alphabets but to harsh and brutal situations of life. He knows one thing, how to enjoy life and how to divert dad’s mind to win his favors.

The contrast I want to point out is very apparent if we closely observe the two situations. I observed these two scenes in different days, I tried to recall as much I could so as to make it a real one. This basically takes us back to the point which I made in the first Para about great divide between the two parts of the same society.

The question now is as to why such a situation? The importance of this question would be felt if we place ourselves in the shoes of those destitute people who barely manage to get one time meal a day. They can define what actually hunger is and it gets exacerbated when their own child is hungrier than they are. This situation is so painful that it can shake anybody’s soul. The source and epicenter of this problem lies in the changing attitude of the people. The replacement of “WE” with “I” and “ME” is the main problem. We have, in general, and persons in power, in particular, have turned blind eye towards such problems. Disproportionate flow of money from poor and middle class to the government coffers, and flow of rich’s money from his coffers to investment arena where their money gets multiplied and they eventually get huge returns on their returns, is the main fiber which has successfully maintained the status quo in our society.

If we try to look into totality, huge chunk of our population lives in rural areas. The need of the hour is to strengthen this sector, make it self-sufficient to ensure new generations to be educated, healthy and strong. If we are successful in doing this, migration from rural areas would vanish. It is easier said then done, but in any case this is ought to be done. Kids of poorer people never go to school and their parents also leave them to fend for themselves. Later on, the same cycle is repeated with larger number of people this time, of the same financial status-destitute.

We all are responsible for our country’s growth- per capita income of the country represent the health of the country’s economy. If we divide the current population, we can segregate them into three groups- 0-18 yrs, 19-40 yrs and 41+ yrs. We should understand the proportion of the populations as regards these age groups and act accordingly. The main focus should be ensure proper growth, education, health to first group so that when they will reach in the second group they will automatically create a healthy and educated first group. Once this cycle is successfully completed, the entire problem of great divide would vanish forever.

I personally feel that everything is possible provided we all embrace the problems as our own rather than somebody else’s. Its we only who can change the fate of our society. Its we who can change the face of our nation. Its we only who can divide this great divide to bring everybody closer into a close knit society. This would effuse a sense of cornucopia al around and halcyon days of yore would be back again.

Modern LoC – Layers Of Change

In this material world, everything is changing and moving at a fast pace. Sensex riding the sinusoidal wave of bearish and bullish sentiments, market and people sentiments flickering with the fluctuations in the markets. Diplomatic relations are getting trapped in an unending cycle of successful and unsuccessful parleys, scientific discoveries keep on taking place and will take place, thereby giving new dimension and horizon to person’s thinking and way of life, film industry –so called mirror of Indian society are delivering and will keep on delivering its goodies in the form of material movies to the people, which entertains them for three hours, media industry busy in gathering fresh breaking news and Page 3 items which effectively has no relevance rather than showing stark realities of societies just because they are also in to crap competition of grabbing top TRPs , manufacturing companies busy in rolling their new and innovative manufactured products thereby justifying their existence, R&D organizations busy in mooting different ideas to the Central ministries to get the funds in the name of development of those Technologies which will benefit and change our country, service industries are into endless competition of rendering best service to their potential customers, students are busy securing a place in the industry for themselves because, they know, in the name of crass vote bank politics, our ministers can surpass all possible limits, working class people, once out from home, are stuck in the busy schedule of office and work thereby becoming ignorant of their relations back home—In this framework, where everything is changing, there are few things which should not change- Relations and Ethics.

Many a times, I have heard people saying, one should change oneself with time and they confidently bolster their argument with a clichéd one liner –“change is the only constant in this universe”. Yes, I do agree, we all should change to keep pace with life, otherwise we won’t be in a position to deliver required momentum to our lives, but I disagree with the proposition that we all should change our values, which form the substratum and a safety net in our lives, on which we all play our game of life, relations, which I feel is the oxygen of life, had there been no relations in this world, we would not have been living so happily as we do today, basic reason lies in oft-repeated saying “Man is a social animal”.

We all should strive to maintain status quo of few things in life which in essence are—our values and relations. I find it disturbing to hear that, all talented, young officers, at the time of joining are 100% pure, devoid of even an iota of corruption, ready to take on challenges and to render yeoman’s service but unfortunately, later on, when they submit their morality, ethics, values in the hands of corrupt and morally depraved ministers, their own self-image breaks in to shards, scatters on the earth and licks its own blood. As long as they are subservient to top guns of power, they thrive, once deviated, they are thrown out of mainstream without any qualms to fend for themselves. Having this scenario on the cards, they are forced to release the grip of morality and values, and they let themselves flow in the river of corruption and filth.

Some more than 50 years back, there were stalwarts like Pandit Nehru, Gandhi et al who had a vision of taking our country-India to the dizzying heights of success. Pandit Nehru ji, took initiative and laid foundation of modern India we are presently living into. He opined that development of any country lies in its ability of being self-dependent, so he went ahead and gave clearance to the establishment of giant PSUs of its own kind in our country, which made our country self-sufficient in at least those areas, in which these PSUs are working. But while framing vision for our country, they made some standard assumptions that, we all will work honestly, with full dedication, our country would be devoid of corruption, our personal priorities will take back seat, but alas these assumptions are no more valid today. They were so volatile that they got evaporated in the flames of stygian anger and heat of hatred, vengeance and corruption. We are left with a structure which is frail and dilapidated. Recent Volcker’s report, Telegi’s case findings serve as healthy testimony to this.

Movie- Rang De Basanti, popularly known as RDB, endeavored to exhume hidden truths and tricks with which ministers play and how hoi polloi’s proclivity to turn blind eye towards immoral and nasty acts of ministers, leads to travesty of justice in which such tainted persons go scot-free. Latest Hindi movie Rocky made a mature effort of portraying consequences of being deaf, blind and dumb towards rising crime in the society and unless responsible citizens take onus on their shoulder, it’s nearly impossible to weed out crime from our society. I am not whetting all to become like Rocky, fight with spectacular stunts, as Zayed Khan did in this movie, I m just saying that we all can cooperate with the system thereby facilitating the deliverance of unambiguous verdict from the courts of law.

This change has so much power and potency, which has diverted and distracted millions of minds, while being directed in wrong direction, just imagine a world in which this change would take shape in the positive sense thereby leading to utopia of Modern World. Let the air of change shower peace, happiness and a sense of cornucopia all around, to make life of each and every person on earth a blissful experience.

Algebra of Irrelvant Variables

LIFE has been a puzzle for many aeons because of its complex variables of "worldly" algebraic system of Equation. Those who could understand and comprehend the nature of variables and their interrelation be it positive correlation or negative, lived happily but those who could not , continue to live in a chaotic state finding values of this complex algebraic system of Life. There is no standard system of equations, it get shaped up over the years with number of thoughts, ideas, views, sentiments cobbled in the minds of fellow human beings on earth , those who are clear and cocksure of their goals , they are potent and cognizant enough to understand this labyrinthine algebraic system in threadbare details, but who dont unfortunately end up living usual but frenzied life joining the rat race of getting "nothing" out of this biggest largesse from our Divine Father. One more thing worth contemplating is the complexity of this system which is directly proportional to the kind of outlook each one of us keeps towards various things which are juxtaposed along the course of our prepaid sojourn on this earth.

Variables are those entities whose values are variable and it depends on system with which it is linked. Nature of the algebraic system plays a greater and prominent role in making the system easy or complex. There are several variables which are common to many and pursuit for getting values of such variables requires living a "JUST" life, enjoying what we have, being complacent with what we have and to understand our capabilities. But, unfortunately many of us involve ourselves in getting values of those variables which are not useless per se , but not good either. It is this pursuit which i feel makes this algebra a system of endless solutions. Right from the beginning, rather than understanding and realizing good or bad, we start looking at life from pleasure vantage point and this is where , a spiraling de-crypting starts which unfortunately never ends, even after death.

Relevant variables are easily achievable and perhaps amongst the first few variables for which we all strive to get solution are are successful also and if we proceed in this fashion, the system will never go haywire rather in that case it would be a system having "n" equations in "n" variables for which finding solution is possibly everybody's cup of tea. But rather than zeroing in on these so called "standard variables", we all indulge perversely into pursuit of "crap variables" whose values are rather imaginary, not at all real, and if at all one succeeds at getting these values, he would never be sure of its results as there is no standard of imaginary numbers with which we can compare.

Pursuit for Power and Money are the biggest and most potent "irrelevant variables" of LIFE. Its pursuit basically follows 'law of diminishing returns', more we think of it , lesser we get that too at the expense of costliest resource "TIME". What we all see these days around is an endless race to amass as much money as possible which is independent of amount of money one already has in his coffers. People first fight incessantly to come into "POWER" by spending oodles of "MONEY", once ensconced successfully into the seat of power, they once again start with the same desperation in gathering the lost money by the route of serpentine pathway of corruption. In doing so, their moral fibre gets torned, ethics and values submitted to fire, left with a material body with a "tainted mass of few grams" on the top of the bodily frame which ejaculates perverse emotions of fullness after slaking their thirst for money.

Problem of hot pursuit of power and money is so grave that our economy also suffers. It has gripped our economy form its vitals which is withering away the potent layers. Disproportionate distribution of income, power, insensible and illogical tax system, deplorable supports to reservation inter alia, are among those few sub-variables which emanate from the same source

and eats out the vitals. Harshad Mehta shiponed off money form securities market to the tune of Rs 3500 Crores and he could do that with perfection by hobnobbing with corrupt politicians and kowtowing tainted beauracrats, creating imbalance in the indian economy, Since this world follows universal law of "ENTROPY"- which says a disorder at one place is balanced with an equal amount of order at some other place, but this algebraic system even defies this and what i notice is our own "Algebraic version of Entropy law", which says no matter how much disorder we create at one place, it is independent of disorders happeneing at other places. Let us analyse the consequences of these two versions of "Entropy" laws. Former, ie actual definition entails balancing of money, if money is being siphoned off, unethically from one place then equal amount of money must be pumped into the system from some other point in order to maintain balance. This money can come from taxes, duties and the like. Latter system entails siphoning off of money from different places at different times, which are mutually exlusive (as per this new worldly law) and are not going to affect the system.

We must strive to make our algebraic system as simple as possible. Even if we are into hot pursuit for money, let it be justified like Lakshmi Mittal, he is the richest man, he might not have the same amount of money as today as he had 20 years before . This is definitely not a phyrric victory rather its an outcome of his sheer hard work, dedication and applications of "just" logic and intelligence, that he could gather pelf sufficient enough to fill any worldly coffer. This is morally correct way of doing things and looking at complex system called life unlike many in our country, who are ignorant of their own capabilities and make dreams as big as for instance 'having our own property in all countries of world'. Our life is mortal, short, we all should utilise this biggest ever largess from GOD sensibly, logically and intelligently so as to avoid any future repentance. We all should realize our own importance and our roles in this "worldly algebraic system" which replicates in front of us as our Society, our Nation. We can play our roles successfully, provided we are devoid of negative energies, together we can solve all complex systems provided we ignore "IRRELEVANT" variables of this "Algebraic System".

Vicious Circle of Pooja and Rituals

Gods in hindu mythology have always been accorded the highest pedestal of respect and reverence. All hindus are sacrosant for their feelings and emotions for Gods and godesses. I wonder in how many forms these people worship the same eternal and immortal entity. I believe we hindus and Indians in particular are an inveterate followers. We start following , copying and if i try to be euphemistic , they try to emulate those who by sheer hard work, dedication and meditation have been successful in establishing a so-called connection with the GOD and have achieved "Nirvana". In our country, India, where there are as many as 18 languages and multitudes of cultures, we are never complacent in worshipping one GOD or one IDEAL.

For a same hindu family, Lord Rama is equally important as Lord Krishna ( accorded high respect coz of GITA gyan he delivered), equally potent as Lord Hanuman (nobody can just ignore him), equally pure and "shubh" as Lord Ganesha (Ganapati Bapa Moriya---a hackneyd one liner during month of september). Celebrations for Maa Durga popularly known as Nav durga parva, it runs to the length of 9 dayz as there are 9 Devis and each day being nominated for a particular Devi, closely followed by Dusshehra and Diwali. Pooja and rituals are indeed seamless.

We all celebrate Dusshehra every-year, and we all kow ofcourse ita bacially a celebration of victory of GOOD over EVIL. Few dayz back, few people came to my place and asked me to contribute 50 bucks for Dusshehra celebration. I asked him , how you people are going to celebrate this, "We will organize Ram Lila and will showcase the death of Ravana thereby portraying vistory of Good over evil"-he quipped. For me its nothing more than a caricature, nonsensical theatrical performances to earn money rather than assimilating its essense and crux.

We have been celebrating this festival for aeons but till date it has not assured crime-less city , Ravana-rid society. What we all are witnessing unfortunately is rising crime graph which in some sense, good for Ram Gopal Verma. Had there been no crime at all, he would not have ventured into making films like Company and Shiva.

What i feel is rather than involving oursleves in such types of activities, we all should try to look into our own GOD and try to follow what is right and morally correct. Its patently wrong for a corrupt and tainted person, who, having killed his inner GOD, worshiping whole night to satisfy worldy GOD.We all need to channelize our positive energies for the betterment of society. Nothing we ll achieve in chating "Ganapati" or " Ram Ram".

But being a Hindu Brahmin i cant keep myself aloof from such rituals, so wish u all Happy Nav-Ratras".

Spiralling Monotone of Life

Unlike Greek Philosophers, who opined that world sets in to more disordered form with each passing era, i believe in flip-side of this belief. I beleive LIFE becomes more ordered, better, improved than before everytime. Modern world view has surpassed old machine view, christian views of world. modern world view transcends everything as regards morality , ethics and principles. So is it not an irony.....if every passing era is replaced by a better ,ordered era then how about the negative picture delineated by great philosophers of the same positive era ?

What intrigues me is this irony but one more thing that bothers me these days is MONOTONE every passing time is more ordered, systematic, better than before but if i look at my life, its kinda trapped in spiralling monotone .Every morning i wake up ,rush to office office, work for 9 odd hourz there , then come back home, totally drained, left with zilch of energy ,which is hardly sufficient to charge one to start something creative or interesting at home. I switch ON the TV,read newspaper and more often than not i m caught with a fast sleep umawares.

I open my eyes, its again the next day, have to rush to office :(

Newayz, i m trying to jump out of this spiralling monotone of LIFE soon :)

Till then,

Chill
